London's tribute was posted hours after Eric Holder, the man suspected of killing Hussle and injuring two other men, was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department.

LAPD announced on Tuesday that they caught Eric Holder, the suspect they believe is responsible for the 33-year-old's murder.

Deputies at the L.A. County Sheriff's Lakewood station got a call at 12:53 p.m. from a person who had seen someone matching Holder's description, said Sheriff's spokeswoman Nicole Nishida.

He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Two other victims were involved, according to authorities.

Police said a tip from a citizen led them to Holder.

Moore told reporters Tuesday that Holder and Hussle knew each other, but Moore did not disclose any details about the nature of the dispute or how the two men knew each other.

Hussle's death rattled the entertainment and hip-hop world, with celebrities posting memories of the musician on social media.

After shooting Hussle and the two other men, Holder fled in a waiting auto driven by a woman, Moore said. It is the same make, model and license plate number that the LAPD said was at the crime scene and that Holder, 29, got into before racing away from the Nipsey Hussle-owned Marathon Clothing Store after the killing.

"I ask for you to bring peace and not allow this sacred ground to be the site of any further violence", Moore said.

At a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, LAPD Chief Michel R. Moore described a personal dispute between Holder and Hussle, alleging that Holder showed up in front of Hussle's clothing store multiple times before shooting him.

Mayor Eric Garcetti noted that "Nipsey Hussle was someone who was a gifted and brilliant artist".

A stampede broke out in Los Angeles and left several people injured during a memorial for the rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was fatally shot on Sunday.

Nipsey Hussle and Lauren London reportedly began their relationship in 2013 and the couple had their first child, Kross, in 2016.
