At a special event in Cupertino, Apple unveiled its Apple TV+ streaming service, and with it a short clip of some footage from its slate of upcoming original shows.

Apple also emphasized its commitment to privacy by stating Apple would not know which games users are playing - a message it reiterated several times on Monday during its announcements.

Earlier, Apple laid out the details of its news subscription service, Apple News Plus, and a new credit card.

Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon spoke about The Morning Show, their upcoming new drama, at Apple's live event on Monday. Pricing was not announced.

Cook also said Apple Pay, its digital wallet, will soon be usable on public transit systems in Portland, Oregon, Chicago and New York City.

"Now we are going to take games even further with Apple Arcade, the first game subscription service for mobile, desktop and the living room".

As part of its efforts to make quick connections, Apple hired two longtime Sony television executives, Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg, in 2017. In the Today and News+ tabs of the Apple News app, you'll see individual article and issue recommendations based on editorial curation and personalized suggestions. "We're thrilled to give viewers a sneak peek of Apple TV+ and can not wait for them to tune in starting this fall".

Apple's New Video Streaming and News Subscription Services Won't Be Cheap

Notably, Apple says all games in this service will allow unlimited play and will have no in-app purchases, which are common on mobile games.

The launch was the centrepiece of an event at Apple's Cupertino, California, headquarters that focused on the technology company's services, not its hardware, as it deals with declining sales of its iPhone. As we are getting closer to the event, Apple video streaming service is looking to be less interesting than previously rumored. Apple also implied it's contributing to the development costs of these games - not exactly the same as Google's announcement of its own game studio, but pretty darned close.

It has been created with the help of Goldman Sachs and MasterCard.

Much like the kids section in Netflix, Apple TV has a kids section.

It will also have articles from some newspapers, including The Wall Street Journal and The Los Angeles Times. The Apple device should run iOS 10 or above.

Apple did not reveal a Morning Show trailer, but footage from the show was featured in a teaser for Apple TV+.

Apple's streaming service will be distributed via the Apple app store that is now available in more than 100 countries.
