Meghan Markle called FAT LADY in HILARIOUS encounter with old age pensioner

Meghan took it as a compliment - laughing and saying: "I'll take it".

The Duchess of Sussex is OK with being called a "fat lady".

Earlier today, the Duchess had her first official visit to one of her patronages, Mayhew, an animal welfare charity in North West London.

According to The Sun, Meghan's left knee embodied the Princess' little face - if you look closely.

Her fine-knit dress from the fast fashion brand's Mama maternity range is priced at $34.99 and still available in a full size run, from XS through XL - though likely not for long.

The Mayhew is one of the four organisations that the Duchess was recently made patron of.

The dress also didn't stop Markle from petting the dogs in the animal shelter while she visited.

In September previous year, Meghan and Prince Harry adopted a black labrador rescue dog named Oz, to join them in their Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.

Meghan's four patronages "reflect the causes and issues with which she has always been associated including the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare", Kensington Palace said in a statement last week.

On Monday the Duchess told crowds in Birkenhead that she was six months pregnant and expecting the baby around the end of April or the start of May.

Meghan occasionally sported red lipstick in her pre-duchess days, but we haven't seen her in anything other than pink and nude tones since she officially became a royal.

Meghan visited the headquarters of Mayhew which works to keep cats and dogs, whether family pets or companions for the homeless, safe and well, and support local communities.
