Game Of Thrones Season 8 Date Revealed In Cryptic New Video

Though this trailer is more of a hype-inducing teaser that doesn't actually include footage that will feature in any coming episodes, it is still packed with thematic clues to the upcoming season.

But this teaser is about more than just the battle to come; it's about the Stark family legacy. The teaser finds Sansa, Arya, and Jon in the crypts of Winterfell, passing statues of Ned, Lyanna, and Catelyn. The implication is all three may be facing their doom.

"Jon walking by and blowing the feather off the statue is symbolic of the fact that Jon is a child of Lyanna and the Targaryen", one reddit user posits. However, in Game of Thrones terms, that doesn't necessarily means they will die. But the good news is that, according to the makers of the Emmy Award-winning show, each of the episodes will be like an entire film on its own.

In a brief clip of the new seasons, released last week during the Golden Globes, HBO showed Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow arriving in Winterfell.

So you can imagine he's poured over every single second of the first glimpse at Game of Thrones since 2017.

If that wasn't enough to get you excited, an old interview from Vladimír Furdík (The Night King) has revealed that two of the biggest fights of 2019 might be closer than you think.

This scene possibly foreshadows the deaths of the Stark Family, which is further backed up when the tomb becomes engulfed in ice and fog - heralding the arrival of the White Walkers and the Night King. After months of building anticipation among fans, HBO dropped the air date ahead of its third season premiere of "True Detective" with a new teaser video.

HBO announced Sunday that its signature series will begin its final season on April 14.

But this line, an addition done the TV show writers, sums up all the bullshit I hate about the show at times and what makes it such a frustrating adaptation as a book fan.

On a completely different note: WE CANNOT WAIT FOR APRIL 14!
