The Post-Gazette reports the team president says "all other options are on the table".

Within a few hours after the newspaper posted Rooney's comments, Brown tweeted a photo of himself and Rooney shaking hands, with the caption, "Good Business #Boomin".

The rocky relationship with Brown and the Steelers ignited when the star wide receiver skipped out on practices and team meetings heading into the Steelers season finale on December 30. According to the article, no one from Pittsburgh's front office or coaching staff has even spoken to Brown since December 30, which was the team's final regular season game.

January 1st: After an explosive Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report revealed that Brown skipped meetings and practices leading up to Week 17, Brown had an interesting exchange with 49ers tight end George Kittle.

King adds that the Steelers will likely listen to offers and that they will pull the trigger on a trade if they like what they are receiving, but he thinks that eventually, Brown and Mike Tomlin will meet and settle things.

The new league year begins March 13, and the Steelers will likely decide on Brown's future before his $2.5-million bonus is due on March 17.

Brown is slated to count a little over $22 million against the salary cap in 2019.

A team such as the San Francisco 49ers could be interested, as they have the cap space and the need for a wide receiver to help spur the offense. The combination of Brown and Kittle would rival the Chiefs' Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce for the most potent WR/TE combination in the NFL. He only played in 15 games after being forced to sit their must-win season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals.

A seven-time Pro Bowl and four-time All-Pro selection, Brown caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards and a career-high 15 touchdowns in 2018.

Rooney says cap considerations will play a factor in how the Steelers move forward.

Rooney also went on to mention how he feels as if the relationship between Brown and the organization will be tough to mend.
