Veteran sharpshooting guard Kyle Korver is headed back to the Utah Jazz after being traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers, US media reported on Wednesday.

Though the trade is not yet finalized, Korver is expected to be shipped to the Utah Jazz. The team sent him over to the Philadelphia 76ers the same night. He played there from December 2007 through the 2009-2010 season. He's averaging 8.4 points and 15.8 minutes this season.

Burks, meanwhile, leaves the only franchise he has ever known. The acquisition of Burks, a quality 27-year-old role player who has averaged 9.6 points per game during his career, will aid in that process.

However, the forte of his game, has been as a slasher rather than a shooter - he is a career 42.5-percent shooter from the field, and a 35.5-percent shooter from deep.

"I mean we're not a bad 3-point shooting team, I think guys are just missing shots", Jazz forward Derrick Favors said.

The team came in ranking 23rd in the National Basketball Association in 3-pointers made per game, with 10.1, and 29th overall in 3-point percentage, at just 31.9 percent.

Per Wojnarowski, the Jazz are also sending Alec Burks to Cleveland in the proposed deal.

"I was shocked when he told me".

"Everyone was a little bit surprised", Allen said before the Jazz's road game against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.

"I think just overall I'm really grateful for my time in Cleveland", Korver said. "Obviously, being around, I know how that goes but it's something you never want to see with guys going but I wish the best for him".

Korver is under contract for one more season after this - he is due $7.5M for 2019-20.
