Patrick Peterson Rumors: Could The Cardinals CB Be On The Browns Radar?

Patrick Peterson has been a bright spot on the Cardinals defense.

However, Arizona is not willing to trade him despite his request. "A source tells Schefter that Peterson "feels as if the situation is deteriorating" and that he "'desperately' wants out".

Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks refused to entertain the idea of trading Peterson on Monday.

The asking price for Peterson would be expected to be a second- or third-round pick, considering his skill set makes his value worth a first-rounder.

They have the resources to swing this blockbuster trade, sure, but what if Arizona refuses to give in to Peterson's request?

Then to add more intrigue to this latest news, Bryant McFadden, who is a former National Football League cornerback and Peterson's cousin reported on Monday that the Eagles, Saints, and New England Patriots are all interested in trading for the Pro Bowl cornerback.

But the Cardinals seem prepared to keep Peterson.

He has started all seven of Arizona's games this season and has two interceptions to go along with 35 total tackles.

The trade deadline is one week away.

Who would and could get Peterson?

Peterson was originally selected by the Cardinals out of LSU with the fifth pick in the 2011 draft. For those who are unaware, McFadden and Peterson are actually cousins. If the Eagles were to acquire Peterson, they could put him on one side of the field, playing opposite of Ronald Darby.
