Dean of Kavanaugh’s law school: Investigation into allegations needed

Kavanaugh has denied Ford's and other women's allegations of sexual misconduct. Harvard Law spokespeople twice declined to comment and once did not respond to the Crimson's multiple requests for clarity on whether Harvard will allow Kavanaugh to continue serving as a Lecturer on Law. The point is, we can't know for sure whether Kavanaugh is telling the truth about not blacking out, as it is not something that can be easily witnessed - especially by other people who have been drinking.

A prominent Seattle doctor and former Yale classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh alleges he lied under oath to the Senate Judiciary Committee about his drinking habits in college.

At that same 2006 confirmation hearing, Kavanaugh swore he knew nothing of the warrantless wiretapping program that began under George W. Bush.

Both Judge and Kavanaugh have vehemently denied any allegation of misconduct.

"They were very disrespectful, at least verbally, with Renate", Sean Hagan, a Georgetown Prep student at the time, said of Kavanaugh and his teammates, in an interview with the Times. If Kavanaugh really does have a weak stomach, that may have kept him from drinking to such excess that he blacked out.

After a second woman, Deborah Ramirez, came forward to accuse Kavanaugh of sexual assault at Yale University, his freshman year roommate released a statement saying he believes her, based on his experiences with Brett as a "notably heavy drinker" who became "belligerent and aggressive when he was very drunk". He was viewed as a possible "no" vote until his announcement Friday. Two of Kavanaugh's classmates told The New York Times that "Renate Alumnius" is an inside joke about supposed sexual conquests with Schroeder. "I can't begin to comprehend what goes through the minds of 17-year-old boys who write such things, but the insinuation is disgusting, hurtful, and simply untrue", she tells the Times.

Flake said he, Delaware Democrat Chris Coons and others agreed to ask for the broader Senate to delay a final vote for no more than a week to allow the Federal Bureau of Investigation to look into Blasey Ford's allegations of being sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh when the two of them were teenagers.

'He was trying to portray that it's one or the other, and at Yale there are many people for which it was both, ' she said.

When Whitehouse asked Kavanaugh to define the term, Kavanaugh asked the senator, "You ever played quarters?"

"On Monday, I stood in front of your office", Archila, co-executive director of the nonprofit Center for Popular Democracy Action, told Flake. "I'm not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process", he said.

But in his testimony on Thursday, Kavanaugh offered alternative explanations for the items on his page. But, as I have said, this policy serves important purposes even in stressful times.

"I am terrified", Ford said as she described the alleged assault. "I was completely astounded when I saw she signed that letter". "He was always one of the beer drinking boys and I drank beer with him", Swisher said. She said she could not take a position on the nomination but she was proud of the work students and faculty have done to engage with the issues.
