'The Bachelor': Colton Underwood to Be Season 23 Star of ABC Series

Former NFL player Colton Underwood will be handing out roses as the lead on the next season of "The Bachelor", it was announced Tuesday. The two dated for a substantial amount of time, but Underwood has found him back in the dating scene.

"I'm very excited. I'm so grateful".

"Third time is the charm". If he's willing to put that on display as the Bachelor, I would find that fascinating in this day and age ...

The 26-year-old, who was a contestant on Becca Kurfin's season of "The Bachelorette", will be the next man to have 25 women vying for his attention.

In a confessional, Colton said, "She's one of the best people I know".

'I think it's to look for someone that fits into your life after the show.

The titular "Bachelor" on the next season of the hit ABC show might be familiar to football fans, or at least those with an intimate knowlegde of training camp and practice squad rosters.

One person said: 'I really hope the only reason ABC didn't choose Jason Tartick as the next Bachelor is because he already found someone and not because they thought we'd all want to see Colton be indecisive for another 2 months'.

Or they just wanted anyone but Colton. But, the official announcement of the new Bachelor wasn't until the morning of September 4, 2018. He also briefly dated former Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.

Tia and Colton have a long history, at least as far as reality show relationships go.
