Additionally, 9to5Mac revealed an image of the new and upcoming Apple Watch Series 4 in a rose gold finish, which is suggested to debut at the iPhone keynote event as well. Apple is reportedly planning to unveil three new iPhone models, with two having OLED display and an affordable version that is said to feature an LCD panel. The new Apple Watch models will include larger screens that cover almost the entire front of the watch. There's also speculation that Apple will build on its laptop lineup with a lightweight, entry-level MacBook aimed at students and others looking for a more budget-friendly option.

This year is expected to be an "S year", which fits with the purported leaked name "iPhone XS". It's rumored to come in new colors, too, but which colors those will be remains unknown. "Assuming a 3.5-year upgrade cycle and a 90% retention rate implies 207m iPhones sold each year, slightly below the Street's 219m expected in FY18 and FY19".

Both of these models will have similar specs, including dual rear cameras, stainless steel frames, glass backs, AMOLED screens, and internals - including the A12 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64/256/512GB of storage.

At first glance, and even second, it looks very much like existing Apple Watches.

Now, Apple has a chance to answer its critics with the unveiling of the Apple Watch Series 4 in early September.

Analysts believe Apple plans to release three new smartphones this year, including one with a larger display than previous models.
