The former Barcelona midfielder is yet to announce where he will be moving next, but his agent dropped a big hint on Tuesday evening suggesting news of his future is close.

His agent Dimitry Seluk tweeted: "Yaya has passed a medical in London".

At times he seemed high maintenance and his City career petered out somewhat before he left at the end of last season - a departure followed up with some controversial comments about current boss Pep Guardiola - but his place among the City greats is not in doubt.

However, Toure has agreed to return to familiar terrain at Olympiakos, the club he first joined in 2005 and had the honour to claim the double before switching to Ligue 1 giants Monaco after the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Toure's agent insists that he will not be becoming a West Ham or Crystal Palace player, which rules out two of few viable options for the three-time Premier League champion.

Seluk, unless you can not see the tweet below, said: "It's not West Ham, 100%".

"Roy Hodgson said he doesn't know when his players' birthdays are". And surely Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham wouldn't want the 35-year-old Ivorian?

Toure was keen to remain in the Premier League but had no concrete offer on the table to seal a deal.

It is unclear where the 35-year-old multiple Premier League victor is close to signing.

Olympiakos are looking to win back the Greek title from AEK Athens after finishing third last term and see Toure's experience and profile as key qualities.
