Lovato was transported to a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday after police responded to call from her home in the Hollywood Hills regarding an apparent overdose.

Lovato and those who were at the house refused to disclose the drug or drugs that caused her to overdose.

"He has visited her a lot", confirmed the insider.

"There was a sit-down talk with Demi and her team about a month ago to address her no longer being sober", the source said.

"It's only family and very close, trusted friends she's surrounding herself with right now", a source close to the singer told Yahoo Entertainment.

According to reports, Demi is on the mend for a speedy recovery.

'The overdose has been a wakeup call to Demi that she needs to get more serious about her sobriety and is telling friends and family she will do everything it takes to get back to the incredible place she was in before she slipped'.

A source told Us that Valderrama, who dated Lovato for six years before they split in June 2016, is "completely devastated" over her relapse.

They made it clear they would help her get sober again, and a plan was devised to try to get her back into rehab years after she first sought help.

"I was not with Demi when the incident happened, but I am with her now, and will continue to be because she means the world to me just as she does to all of you".

It has been claimed that at the time Demi was found, someone had administered Narcan, a drug used to reverse the effects of opioids. Just good people around her, and a willingness to want to live a different way if that's what she wants to do.

"Demi is recovering and her loved ones are so incredibly thankful she has pulled through".
