The president and first lady will travel to Windsor on Friday afternoon to meet the Queen, before flying to Scotland to spend the weekend at Mr Trump's Turnberry golf resort.

He said he got along with Theresa May "very well", but suggested he might make time during his United Kingdom visit to speak with his friend Boris Johnson, who has just rocked her Government by resigning as foreign secretary.

The president and his wife will attend a dinner, hosted by Mrs May, at Blenheim Palace - the ancestral home of former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill - in the evening. While saying that he didn't have any message or advice, he added: "I would say Brexit is Brexit..."

Nona Hurkmans, one of the activists behind the infantile inflatable of Trump, said the balloon was a fair response to Trump's own behavior and downplayed claims that Trump deserved more respect.

"It appears that President Trump got the message from the many Londoners who love and admire America and Americans but find his policies and actions the polar opposite of our city's values of inclusion, diversity, and tolerance", mayor Khan said in January.

Trump will depart Britain Friday for Finland to prepare for a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday in Helsinki.

They will then meet the Queen for the first time, at Windsor Castle, before heading to Scotland where the USA president will spend the weekend at his Turnberry golf course in Ayrshire.
