Here's a Really Dumb Conservative Meme About Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Democratic National Committee chair Tom Perez on Tuesday wholeheartedly embraced Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 28-year-old progressive insurgent who stunned the political world last week when she unseated a 10-term incumbent New York Democrat, calling the democratic socialist "the future of our party".

Fellow conservative commentator Beck retweeted O'Reilly's comment, adding that he believes Ocasio-Cortez seems "genuine".

He told MSNBC of Ocasio-Cortez's win that "time will tell, but I think what we've seen in elections across the country are candidates who won by focusing on the issues that were keeping their constituents up at night". After the waitress complained to her manager, her take was doubled to $100, a source said. It was clear to her, even then, that the zip code a child was born in determined much of their destiny.

"I'm an educator, I'm an organizer", she continued. "I couldn't look at her".

She also blasted the TV host for his attempts to discredit her by reportedly lying about her past, while all the while claiming that it was, in fact, Ocasio-Cortez who was lying.

But Cardillo's argument-echoed by places like the Daily Mail-misses something fundamental about Ocasio-Cortez's message. Big progressive - calls herself a Democratic Socialist, actually. Not everyone is happy about how the attention moved toward her-not toward them-but the ones who realize what's happening, they're absolutely excited.

"After diving in and doing some research and gauging the political climate of the USA after the Trump election, Bernie Sanders' Democratic primary loss, and countless others, I had a strong feeling that Alex's story would be quite a remarkable one regardless of the outcome of the primary", Alvarado said.

Cardillo is still tweeting about Ocasio-Cortez a day later.

"Young socialist upsets King of Queens", the paper continued, while proclaiming Ocasio-Cortez the "vanguard of the Democratic Party".

"So what that means to me is health care as a human right", Ocasio-Cortez said. "Your attempt to strip me of my family, my story, my home, and my identity is exemplary of how scared you are of the power of all four of those things", she wrote.
