Mohamed Salah joined the rest of Egypt's World Cup squad for warmup drills Tuesday and dribbled for the first time since injuring his left shoulder in last month's Champions League final.

Egyptian National Team Manager Ihab Leheita also told press he hopes for Salah to play at the Urguay match, but a final decision has not been reached yet.

Salah jogged for about 30 minutes in a training session as his teammates worked on the same pitch in Grozny for the match in Ekaterinburg.

Egypt will take to their first World Cup finals since 1990, after Salah himself fired them to Russian Federation with a last-minute penalty against Congo in a play-off fixture.

"He is doing [physiotherapy] sessions on his shoulder and working out in the gym", Leheita said.

"Even if Salah is at his best, it is going to be hard for Egypt to get out of this group, in their first World Cup since 1990".

Drogba, who played for Chelsea between 2004 and 2012, was the previous record holder on 29 goals but Salah found the net 32 times during last season's league campaign to smash the Ivorian's record.

Doubts persist over Salah's fitness but the Egyptian star said from the team's base in Grozny on Monday that he was "well-prepared" for the tournament. "All I can say is that we hope he will play in this match".

"We will not pressure Mohamed".

The report goes on to claim that the 25-year-old has sent his club an ultimatum expressing his feelings and is now thought to be considering offers from Barca and Real.
