The remastered release will contain additional characters and content. The game was not announced as an exclusive but just as a world premiere, so it's probably going to be released on other platforms.

During Microsoft's E3 press conference, Bandai Namco revealed Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition is on the way to XBox One. He takes on a mission to take back a stolen Blastia Core that's actually used to help regulate the water supply in his neighborhood.

Tales of Vesperia first came out in 2008. This simple mission spins into a series of events that finds Yuri befriending a colorful cast of characters, traveling to exotic locations, and being pushed into the middle of a nefarious plot that threatens the destruction of the entire planet. Tales of Vesperia is preceded in the series by Tales of Berseria, which launched on PlayStation 4 in January 2017. Players control a single party member in real-time combat while the other three-party members are controlled by a customised set of A.I. commands. Bandai Namco's trailer shows that 2008 anime RPG Tales of Vesperia may not have changed much in the last ten years, but its unbeatable aesthetic remains as lovely now as it was before. Like the title suggests, this is the definitive way to play Tales of Vesperia.

With the tenth anniversary of the release of the game on the Xbox 360, it seems like publisher Bandai Namco decided it was time for a remaster. Much like Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem, each game tells a new tale, introducing players to exciting worlds, new characters and epic encounters with each addition to the franchise.
