State of Decay 2 players have killed over 675 million zombies

That's really damned good and this looks to be the first Microsoft exclusive for the Xbox One that's hit this number. People have collectively played State of Decay 2 for over 6 million hours, with the game being broadcasted over 41,000 times across Mixer, Twitch, and YouTube Gaming. In recent news, Microsoft has added State of Decay 2 to Xbox Game Pass, for which undoubtedly contributed the game to achieve these heights.

That number includes those who played the game when the Ultimate Edition was released via Early Access on May 18, combined with those who downloaded the game's Standard Edition that was released on May 22. There have been over 675 million zombies killed, over 6 million fireworks and firecrackers lit, over 6 million bags of snacks eaten, and over 2 million textbooks read.

The first game in the series, Undead Labs' debut title, broke records early in its lifetime. The game now boasts a disappointing score of 68 on Metacritic, indicating mostly mixed to negative reviews. But in this new world of Microsoft finding other metrics for success, crossing the million player mark is notable on a video game platform that is being outsold, probably dramatically, by the market leader. Bugs such as multiplayer tether not functioning correctly.
