Mario Tennis Aces Serves Up Story Trailer, Online Demo

The latest Nintendo Switch exclusive - Mario Tennis Aces - is set to launch on 22nd June, but you'll be able to play before then, for free.

The demo will be available for download from the Nintendo eShop in Japan starting May 25. Currently, there are 15 confirmed characters: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Boo, Toad, Toadette, Rosalina and Chain Chomp.

As we barrel towards its June 22 release date, we now know when we'll get our first taste of Mario Tennis Aces.

As mentioned before, players will be able to participate in more than just multiplayer gameplay with "Mario Tennis Aces".

Five secret unlockable characters will also be available by gaining points in the beta tournament and advancing through the online stages.

Running from 1st June at 3pm United Kingdom time, to 4th June at 11:59pm United Kingdom time, the demo will allow players to compete against others for free, testing out their skills and (importantly) allowing them to see what the game is like to play.

Mario Tennis Aces releases worldwide on June 22, 2018 for Nintendo Switch. Nintendo didn't say which characters will be unlockable during the beta. For a limited time, players can try out online tournament matches in the game before it launches. By participating in this limited-time demo event, players who purchase the full game will unlock the classic Mario outfit as a reward.

The Mario Tennis series is about to faithfully revived in Mario Tennis Aces.
