Carrie Mathison's spy missions are just about accomplished: Homeland's upcoming eighth season will be its last, series star Claire Danes has confirmed.

Danes and Dancy met on the set of the 2006 show Evening and tied the knot in 2009.

"I am pregnant", Danes told host Howard Stern.

She and 42 year old Hannibal actor Dancy are already parents to a five year old son, named Cyrus Michael Christopher, born in late 2012.

However, she did concede in jest to name her baby after Stern - "Howardina" if it's a girl, notes MSN.

The radio mogul asked her to reveal the baby's sex, humorously hinting that he'd welcome another exclusivity.

However, he did reveal that, "I will say that in just a pie in the sky, we would all love to take this show back to Israel for that final season".

The "Homeland" star has made no secret of the fact she wants more children but she has admitted she's glad she waited until she was a little bit older to start a family. "I feel so fortunate, in that I've had this arrow-straight focus that I wanted to act".
