Carried Underwood has shared the following image of her head before her operation at the Country Music Awards.

The Academy of Country Music Awards is coming up this weekend.

The event, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, will recognize the Las Vegas shooting that took place October 1st at a music festival near the Mandalay Bay resort while Jason Aldean was on stage.

"My wrist is nearly back to normal, about 90% there...and the docs say that last 10% will come in time".

The Texas native has won 29 ACM Awards throughout her career and goes into this year's ceremony tied with Brooks & Dunn for the title of the winningest artist in ACM history. The Female Vocalist of the Year award nominees are Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris and Carrie Underwood. Male Vocalist of the Year nominees include Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, Chris Young and Keith Urban.

Ashley predicts an emotional night for Jason Aldean, with or without the Entertainer of the Year Award. She had an accident in November and hasn't performed since.

Underwood, 35, had also posted a photo of herself rehearsing with her band, writing "Missed these guys". According to CMT.com, "Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha will perform their hit 'Meant to Be.'" Since this song is has been hugely successful, fans can look forward to how they will perform it.

David Boreanaz, Ashton Kutcher, and Nancy O'Dell are among the Hollywood star presenters.

Ada native Blake Shelton earned a nomination for Single Record of the Year for his buoyant ballad "I'll Name the Dogs".

Dierks Bentley revealed in February that he and Luke Bryan would not be returning as hosts of the 2018 ACMs, likely because of Bryan's new gig as an American Idol judge.
