Harry Kane has been ruled out of Spurs' game against Chelsea this weekend, handing the Blues a major injury boost.

"Every day he is improving".

"We need to assess him", Pochettino said in Thursday's press conference. It's hard now to say or no before game.

Tottenham is fourth in the Premier League, five points clear of fifth-place Chelsea with eight games left in the race for the four Champions League qualification spots.

While there was no guarantee that the Chelsea league fixture will see Kane return, Pochettino revealed that it is an eventuality and may happen next week if not this one.

"Of course, there is still a lot of games to play".

"To win against Chelsea would be fantastic for everyone but it will be a very tough game - they are a very good team and it is always tough to compete with them". We are focused, and we must be focused on the win and the performance.
