Take a moment to celebrate the first day of spring in the Lowcountry on Tuesday - maybe with a free ice cream cone.

Dairy Queen announced will offer a free ice cream cone during its fourth annual "Free Cone Day", on Tuesday, to mark the start of spring. The tweet reads, "I am #FreeConeDay". The promotion is limited to one cone per person and will be honored at all non-mall locations, company officials said.

Dairy Queen has raised more than $130 million for the nonprofit network over 30 years, according to a news release.

Dairy Queen will also use the annual Free Cone Day to collect money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals a charity that, according to the Minnesota-based restaurant chain, raises funds and awareness for 170 hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to children across both the USA and Canada.
