"Already a foot of new snow is reported at New Era and another 1-3" is possible this AM. Drivers may experience slippery road conditions and reduced visibility while traveling at times.

It looks like our snow storm has taken a little break Thursday afternoon - no doubt it's regrouping before coming back and hitting us again after 6 p.m. tonight.

A Winter Weather Advisory (purple-shaded area on highlighted map) is in effect from noon until midnight Friday for most of northern IL into northwest Indiana.

The trend continues as we head into the weekend and now the potential for snow begins to mix with the cold. Snow will linger through midnight Saturday morning. The temperature is expected to drop to a low around 13 Saturday night with winds of 8 to 10 miles per hour. Temperatures are forecasted to reach only a high near 18 and drop to the single-digits by evening. A winter storm has descended upon Montana, bringing heavy snowfall and extremely low wind chills. This is all upstream moisture will should produce steady snowfall all day Friday, Friday night and into most of Saturday.
