Search underway for missing 3-year-old Onslow County girl

Early Wednesday morning, authorities released photos of a woman and child at a Walmart in Morehead City, N.C.in an attempt to determine if Mariah was the girl in the photo.

An Amber Alert was issued Monday for a missing 3-year-old girl from Onslow County. She is very sweet loving girl. long brown hair, blue eyes.

Kristy Woods, Mariah's mother, says she discovered her daughter missing from their Onslow County home around 6:30 a.m. Monday.

The child, Mariah Kay Woods, was reported missing Monday.

Government specialists on Tuesday joined K-9 units and helicopters brushing a country group close to the North Carolina drift where a 3-year-old young lady vanished subsequent to being put to bed. By the morning, Mariah's mother said she was gone.

The disappearance immediately prompted a statewide Amber Alert and authorities to search wooded areas around where the family lives, including the grounds of Camp Lejeune, the nearby Marine Corps base. "She's my baby. She's my everything". The Onslow County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have confirmed the identities of the woman and child in the surveillance video released overnight.

"'I'll do anything that I can, whatever you want", said Woods.

"Our focus right now is to find her, to bring her back and then to find out what happened", Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller said.

Around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, the Onslow County Sheriff's Office confirmed the girl was not Mariah.

Family companion Anne Edwards revealed to NBC offshoot WRAL that it would be odd for Mariah to go out so effectively.

The girl's two older brothers were in the house when Mariah disappeared but are both safe.

Mariah has been missing since Sunday night.
