Tottenham are hoping that striker Harry Kane, who has a remarkable record of scoring against Arsenal, is fit after a hamstring problem meant he missed global friendlies for England against Germany and Brazil.

Striker Harry Kane has been in outstanding form for Spurs this season and has scored six goals in six Premier games against the Gunners.

Tottenham finished above Arsenal in the Premier League last season - the first time that had happened since Wenger took charge of Arsenal in 1996 - and is three places and four points ahead of Arsenal after 11 games of this season.

"Success is ultimately winning trophies".

Arsene Wenger's side face a real tough test in the north London derby this Saturday (12.30pm).

Although, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is insistent that his side are not "underdogs" going into this weekend's clash.

Spurs, meanwhile, haven't been particularly successful against Arsenal away from home.

In the last seven Premier League meetings between these sides at the Emirates, the side scoring first has only gone on to win once - with Arsenal securing a 1-0 win in September 2013 thanks to Olivier Giroud's goal.

"They've been there in the last few years so now I think they have to make sure they win something to show the progression", Cech added.

"I wish [he returns in January]".

Moments earlier at the news conference Thursday, Wenger had interrupted a reporter who pointed out that Arsenal had dominated Tottenham for a "long time".

Victories over Real Madrid and Crystal Palace ahead of the global break have left Mauricio Pochettino's side in a good position in both the Premier League and Champions League as they look to push on from their encouraging finishes to the past two campaigns.

"I have to say I think Tottenham will win comfortably", Sherwood told Sky Sports on The Debate on Wednesday evening (Sky Sports Premier League, 10:30pm).

"We still have some people coming in today".

Dele Alli and Harry Winks, who also sat out England duty, will be assessed, along with Kane, on Friday.

"It is a massive challenge to.be competitive against a team that in last 20 years won more trophies than us".
