Manchester City's all-conquering season reached new peaks as Sergio Aguero became the club's all-time top scorer with a decisive goal in a thrilling 4-2 victory at Napoli that secured their place in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday.

Not only did the goal put City ahead again on the night, it also made Aguero City's all-time record goalscorer. John Stones rose highest to meet Leroy Sane's cross and power a header past Pepe Reina to make it 2-1. Danilo replaced Kyle Walker in defence, while Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling and Aguero came in for David Silva, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus, who all dropped to the bench.
