Last night, Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at Deep From The Heart: The One America Appeal Concert, a hurricane relief benefit organized by all five living former United States presidents.

The hurricane relief concert took place at College Station, Texas, on Saturday night, and all the proceeds from the event went to help victims of recent natural disasters.

His video statement was shown at Saturday's fund-raising concert.

According to a press release from the office of George H.W. Bush before the event, so far the One America Appeal for Hurricane Relief - which was launched by the five former presidents on September 7 - has raised $31 million in tax-deductible funds from over 8,000 donors.

The ex-presidents have raised $31 million since they began the drive September 7, said Jim McGrath, spokesman for George H.W. Bush.

Politics was set aside for the sold-out concert at Texas A&M University's Reed Arena, however, as Bush, Obama, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George HW Bush were given a rapturous welcome by the audience. "This wonderful effort reminds us that we truly are one nation under God, all unified by our values and our devotion to one another".

"The heart of America, without regard to race or religion or political party, is greater than our problems", Clinton said.

It was the former presidents' first appearance all together since 2013.

Having so much ex-presidential power in one place is unusual.

Hurricane Harvey slammed into Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast as a Category 4 hurricane on August 25, unleashing historic flooding in Houston and killing more than 80 people. In it, George W. Bush says, "People are hurting down here". It was later expanded to help those affected by subsequent Hurricane Irma that battered Florida and Hurricane Maria that thrashed Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
