Both Sterling Shepard and Brandon Marshall left the game with injuries before halftime of the Giants' game against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. In the fourth quarter, Beckham bent his ankle and he was nearly immediately carted off.

Eli Manning fumbled on the next play and Los Angeles turned that turnover into a score three plays later. What would have generally have been a fairly inconsequential play became, unfortunately, a critical moment for the Giants as their star receiver remained on the ground in considerable pain.

The mood of this game was set from the opening kick, and for the entirety of four ugly quarters, matched the gray, dreary backdrop set by the weather. Odell Beckham and Roger Lewis are the Giants' only two healthy receivers, literally.

At 0-4, losing Beckham would all but ensure the Giants' playoff hopes are over. Shepard came into Sunday's meeting as the Giants' leading receiver with 254 yards and one touchdown.
