While the NFL's anthem protests have picked up steam in recent weeks, Colin Kaepernick has remained quiet and out of public sight.

La Canfora said Kaepernick was pleased with the impact of his 2016 protest.

La Canfora said Kaepernick is working out everyday in New Jersey, throwing passes and going to the gym, La Canfora reported.

Here's the deal. In a tweet on Sunday, unemployed ex-NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick appeared to refute a report Sunday that he would stand during the National Anthem if he was signed by an NFL team.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports had a lengthy conversation with Kaepernick, and he came away convinced that the 29-year-old is willing to do whatever it takes to pursaude a team to sign him.

"Colin is all about changing the world and the fact that more people seem to be aware of social injustice, he's all in favor of", La Canfora said, referencing the recent spate of National Football League protests. According to a report by Jason La Canfora, Kaepernick has been living in NY and working out privately in New Jersey with the hope of signing with a team this season.

Whatever Canforma. We're not sure how managed to conflate whatever Kaepernick said or didn't say into him saying he would stand for the anthem if he got another QB job in the NFL.

Prior reports have indicated that Kaepernick will stand for the anthem in 2017, but circumstances have changed significantly since then.

While there have been opportunities for Kaepernick to catch on with teams who have run into unexpected quarterback issues, other options who at times have been less qualified have been chosen over him. President Donald Trump suggested in September that the NFL begin firing football players who refuse to stand. Trump's comments set off a wave of protests from football players who began taking knees or sitting in the locker room while the song played.

"Colin told me explicitly, 'I'll go anywhere and work out for a team".
