Two Ryan school officials arrested over 7-year-old's murder

Amid protests by parents at Ryan International School in Greater Noida, questioning the tsafety of students after the murder of 7-year-old boy, the Gurugram police arrested 11 for setting a liquor shop close to the school on fire. Sharma said there are many security lapses in this school which requires improvement. Police have arrested a bus conductor in connection to the incident.

The Haryana CM has said that his government has no problem in ordering a CBI probe into the murder case.

"We accept negligence on part of the Ryan International School but the school can not be derecognised as the future of 1200 students is at stake", Education minister Ram Bilas Sharma said.

The matter is likely to come up for hearing before the High Court on Tuesday, the official added.

Seven-year-old Pradhuman Thakur was found murdered on September 8 at Ryan International School in Bhondsi area on the Sohna Road in Haryana's Gurugram district. Sloppiness on the government's part, irresponsible conduct by schools who do not report such offenders - all this only emboldens the criminals who freely commit crime, in case they are caught and removed, they move on to find their next victim.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has called the victim's family and his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar and demanded a swift probe into the incident.

"Some other pieces of evidence were also tampered with", Khirwar said.

Police resorted to lathi charging on the people who were protesting over the death of 7-year-old Pradyuman.

Following pressure by protesting parents and opposition to act against the school for alleged lapses, the two were arrested.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Simardeep Singh, who is also officiating Commissioner of Police in Gurugram, late on Friday night disclosed that Ashok Kumar, bus conductor of Ryan International School, has been arrested.

Meanwhile, District Inspector of Schools PK Upadhyay said, "All school managements have been directed to submit their security and safety plans".

As the case intensifies, there are questions that remain unanswered? As per the reports, the police are interrogating other teachers too.

Meanwhile, there were also allegations that the school management had not carried out a proper verification of the conductor and his Aadhaar card was obtained from his house in Ghamroj village hours after the crime to maintain records.
