Xiaomi is gearing to launch a mystery dual camera phone in India on September 5. When it comes to the specifications, The Xiaomi Mi 5X has a 5.5-inch Full HD display and runs on MIUI 9, based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Xiaomi has already started sending out media invites for the launch event, which is scheduled to be held in New Delhi. It packs 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage capacity. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU to handle the graphics. In case, the fans outside India want to watch the launch event, they can watch it live via Mi's YouTube channel. For the front, it features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Xiaomi Mi 5x launched recently in China. But it is expected that Xiaomi will launch Xiaomi Mi 5X.

The Mi 5X notably brings the Mi 6's dual rear cameras to the masses. The phone, with its all metal body and dual rear cameras looks remarkably like the iPhone 7 Plus from every nook and corner. The Xiaomi Mi 5X comes in three exciting body colour options including Black, Gold and Pink. One lens is wide-angle while the other lens is a telephoto lens which offers portrait mode, Bokeh effect, and much more features.

The Mi 5X was announced in China for 1499 yuan which is approximately equal to Rs 15,000 but expect the pricing to be around the Rs 20,000 mark.

As for connectivity, the phone has 4G VoLTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS/ A-GPS.

It was also reported that Xiaomi might launch the Mi 5X as an Android One phone with the name "Xiaomi A1". The sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, infrared, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
