Lorde Buys a Smoothie, Decides to Take Cashier to Governor's Ball

Lorde might not be about the "royal" life (preferring, instead, to spend her days in a nondescript 24-hours diner) but she does know how to treat fans like a Queen Bee.

After making Lorde a cup of "Blue Velvet" (not sure that sounds appetizing, but Lorde can do what she wants), Ayesha filmed herself meeting her the songstress.

Emely Medina, who is new to her cashier job at a smoothie store in NY, shared a video on Twitter with the caption "she made my morning" after serving the singer a drink earlier this week (beg29May17). The 20-year-old laughs, smiles and throws up peace signs with her fingers.

"This is my first smoothie to a famous person", Ayesha Mangu said in the video posted to Twitter, which has been liked more than 5,300 times since it was posted yesterday.

After the encounter, Lorde later messaged Ms Mangu asking if she would like tickets to attend the Governors Ball at Randall's Island Park to see her perform live.

Emely responded by writing, "Omg!Yes!"

At first Medina thought the message was a joke, but it turns out Lorde had wanted to ask her in the store, explaining that she "got shy". "To celebrate ur new job (smiley face)". "I'm crying rn! This is insane".

But it wasn't a dream, the witch Lorde was real and so was her offer, which seems to have come at no price.

Lorde is in NY this week to perform at the upcoming Governor's Ball in the area this weekend.
