Hillary Clinton declared 'fit to serve as president' by doctor

Hillary Clinton's doctor Wednesday declared her "fit to serve" as president, in a health bulletin released a day before she returns to the fray after being grounded by pneumonia at the height of the White House race.

At a rally on Wednesday, Mr Trump referred to Mrs Clinton's health scare, seemingly casting doubt on her fitness.

Mrs Clinton, 68, almost collapsed at a Sept 11 memorial ceremony in NY on Sunday.

"Welcome back to 'Stronger Together, '" Clinton told reporters aboard her campaign airplane before she set off to North Carolina.

Clinton will spend Thursday campaigning in Greensboro, North Carolina, and speaking to a Hispanic group in Washington.

"Hillary Clinton's release of updated medical information today meets a standard followed by presidential candidates like Barack Obama and Mitt Romney", he said.

In response to Clinton's recent bout with pneumonia, Republican nominee Donald Trump issued the results of a recent medical checkup when he appeared on The Dr. Oz Show on Wednesday. She has also had a normal mammogram and breast ultrasound, according to the letter.

Until Thursday, the only information on Mr Trump's health had come in a widely ridiculed letter from his doctor declaring he would be the healthiest person to ever serve as president.

The doctor's note also mentioned Mrs Clinton's sinus infection early in the year. She did not take detailed questions, though was expected to do so later in the day. "Donald Trump is hands down the least transparent presidential nominee in memory".

Trump, on the other hand, provided a summary from a recent physical to Dr. Mehmet Oz while taping an episode of Oz's show.

The poll was conducted from September 8-13, including a stretch of time when Clinton faced criticism for failing to disclose a pneumonia diagnosis that led to her feeling unwell and leaving a 9/11 memorial service early.

Hillary Clinton on Thursday said she believes her campaign is performing strongly in the last leg of the 2016 campaign despite polls showing the race tightening nationally and in key swing states.

He said he was 6ft 3ins and weighed 236 pounds (16.8 stone), giving him a body mass index falling into the "overweight" range. "I've said it from the very beginning - whether I was up, down.it didn't matter", Clinton said. Her illness became public after she left Sunday's 9/11 memorial service in NY early and was seen on video staggering while getting into a van. Clinton continued campaigning, her congestion worsened, and she developed a cough over the next several days.

Meanwhile, Trump announced that he planned on releasing the details of his recent physical examination this week.

A Quinnipiac University national poll released Wednesday showed Clinton leading 48-43 percent among likely voters.

It was later disclosed that the doctor who wrote the only public documentation about Trump's health spent five minutes writing the report.
